In June 2015, Kaori played a role in a Dutch TV commercial of YoungCapital. The commercial was broadcasted on many different channels and was shown several times each day in June. Kaori played the role of the mother of a cute and talented 'Hello Kitty style' girl. Very nice to see Kaori on TV every day for a whole month.

Today Kaori played a role in an episode of the Dutch TV comedy 'Popoz', broadcasted by Comedy Central. She played the role of a waitress in a Japanese restaurant. Nice detail: one of the other actors was the Japanese assistant of 'Ushi', a very popular Dutch comedy.

Kaori is now in a TV commercial of Ziggo, a big Dutch telecom company! Here is a photo of the scene. Kaori is visible for just a short moment around 0:30 min, but we are proud and happy with it! :-)

"I'm so excited!!"
On August 20, 2013, Kaori & Walter had a lovely meet & greet with The Pointer Sisters, just before their FANTASTIC concert in Paradiso, Amsterdam!!
How did this happen? Well, Kaori has an interesting and divers career. Around 1982, Kaori has worked on some costumes for The Pointer Sisters. As some of you know, she has studied fashion design in San Francisco and for several years she worked in the fashion industry. She also worked on clothes for Shirley McLaine in that period.
In Amsterdam, The Pointer Sisters were very friendly, and excited to hear about Kaori's past. Very sweet artists and really great singers and performers. What a show! The crowd went crazy, and so did we! :-)

The local edition of AD, the Amersfoortse Courant, published a nice interview of Kaori and her husband Walter. The article was written by Willem Meuleman, the photo was made by Frans Kanters.

Unfortunately some small mistakes: 'Kaori Schiba' should of course be 'Kaori Chiba'. And in the interview she is ten years younger than she really is, but Kaori does not really mind that mistake. :-)

In July 2013, Kaori played a little role in a Dutch TV commercial of a big company called Ziggo. Perhaps she will only be visible for a few seconds, but still it was nice. We can not reveal anything about the plot of this very funny commercial until it is broadcasted on TV. All we can say: it was really fun to do. On the photo you see Kaori with two of the other actors.

On October 16, 2011, Kaori had a duo exhibition with Dineke Groenhof Blaauw. Kaori presented her ceramic Zen monks. The location was Galerie Absoluut, in the center of Amersfoort. The exhibition was a big success. Kaori sold several monks. On the photo above she is doing her opening speech.

Kaori's monks blended very well with the calligraphy work of Dineke Groenhof Blaauw.

Unfortunately this was the last expo in this Galerie Absoluut, one month later the art group had to find a new location.
